Recent publications from the group

It’s been a busy summer here in the NESG. Our new PDRA Grace has started and we’ve had some great pieces of work published.

Read about our use of alumina nanoparticles to enable efficient spray coating of perovskite solar cells. Spray coating has a very different thin film formation mechanism than spincoating so I find it very interesting that using alumina nanoparticles to modify the surface energy of the carbazole SAMs (a method which works v. well for spincoating) works so well. This work is part of the emerging investigators collection of the Journal of Materials Chemistry C. This paper is Sophie and Rehmat’s first publication (v. exciting!).

The second article is from a collaboration with Fraunhofer ISE. Oussama led this incredibly thorough piece of work developing high efficiency perovskite-on-silicon tandems. Perovskite on silicon tandems involve a lot of growth and interface optimisation and we present some very detailed characterisation- a great piece of work.
